How Depression can be experienced:

Living with depression can feel like a never-ending cycle of emotional fog. It’s hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel when the weight of sadness, hopelessness, and exhaustion seem constant. At the Center for Growth, we believe healing from depression isn’t just about “feeling better” it’s about understanding the root causes and learning how to manage emotions in a sustainable, compassionate way.

Depression can be a complex mix of internal and external factors: biology, life events, relationships, family of orgin, your personal story amongst other factors. Our therapy approach is designed to honor your process.

How will you be able to help me, I have so much going on and I do not know where to start?

That is a very natural thought to have. Being in a space with non-judgment, openness, care along with the therapeutic tools to help you on your journey is a starting point. The first few sessions will be more information gathering and you may experience relief after the first session. Everyone has a different experience and journey. We live in a culture that wants immediate results and quick fixes. While you may experience relief after the first session, this is a process and we will build on the skills, tools and practices to bring into your life.
